Free family interactive art exhibition opens on Humber Street this weekend

A new family-friendly exhibition, funded by Hull City Council’s Grants to Arts programme, will begin this weekend on Humber Street.

Offering free entry, Baker’s Dozen is hosted by Hull-focused arts project Caprani Arts and is a broad showcase of contemporary, local talent, right on the doorstep of people living in the city.

The exhibition is made up of works from 13 creators – Blake Storm, Chloe Barker, Christopher Tansey, Ella Burgess, Emily Oades, Emma Bell, Jack Whitelock, Jasmine Coleman-Bell, Lilly Williams, Natasha Monfared, Romilly Tucker and Heather Gainey.

It brings together their diverse talents in design, illustration, photography, sculpture, painting and print, as well as offering creative activities for families to take part in.

Visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to get involved in free, artist-led creative activity throughout, with colouring, illustration and collage in this accessible, joyful and celebratory show. It’s the first physical event led by Caprani Arts and one that promises to be bright, positive and inspiring.

Visit baker’s dozen from this Saturday (26 February) at pop-up space one, 66-68 Humber Street.
