YORKSHIRE – Seven time Grammy Award winner Alanis Morissette will headline Scarborough Open Air Theatre next summer, bringing one of the most recognisable voices of the 1990s to the Yorkshire coast.
The show, set for Sunday 5 July 2026, forms part of her UK outdoor tour and closes the venue’s biggest season to date. Organisers say the 2026 programme is the most ambitious yet staged at the 8,000 capacity amphitheatre.
Morissette’s breakthrough album Jagged Little Pill, released in 1995, sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and produced a run of defining tracks including Ironic, You Oughta Know and Hand in My Pocket. The record reshaped mainstream rock in the mid 1990s and went on to become a Broadway musical, introducing a new generation to her catalogue.
Her Scarborough appearance follows major international touring and festival headline slots in recent years, confirming that her draw remains strong three decades into her career.
For Beverley music fans, Scarborough remains one of the region’s major summer destinations, combining big name bookings with an outdoor setting that feels closer to a festival than a conventional arena show. With Morissette now confirmed, the 2026 line up looks set to draw crowds from across East Yorkshire and beyond.
