Comic Con Mania returns to Hull on Saturday 31st May, taking over Connexin Live for a one-day celebration of popular culture. The event, organised by Monopoly Events, runs from 11am to 4pm and is expected to attract a strong turnout from across East Yorkshire, including many from Beverley.
The line-up includes appearances by Hattie Hayridge (Red Dwarf), Deep Roy (Doctor Who, Star Trek, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), and Jimmy Vee, whose credits include Star Wars, Harry Potter and Doctor Who. Autographs and photo opportunities will be available to purchase on the day, subject to schedules.
Comic Con Mania has built a reputation for its accessible format, welcoming atmosphere and wide appeal. While fans of cult television and science fiction will find plenty to enjoy, the event is also designed to accommodate families, collectors, gamers and anyone with an interest in visual storytelling or pop culture.
Connexin Live, now a well-established venue in the city centre, provides the setting. It is easily accessible by train or road from Beverley, with ample parking nearby. Since opening in 2018, the arena has hosted large-scale performances and entertainment events, and is well suited to this type of convention.
