More about Beverley Folk Festival 2025
Certainly — here’s the “About Beverley Folk Festival” section with UK spelling and no hyperlinks, formatted to match the rest of your guide:
About Beverley Folk Festival
Founded in 1983, Beverley Folk Festival has been a key part of the town’s cultural calendar for over four decades. It has hosted hundreds of artists, bringing traditional and contemporary folk music to the heart of the East Riding of Yorkshire.
After a brief pause in 2018, a group of passionate local organisers brought the festival back to life, first as Beverley Fringe and then, from 2022, as the fully revived Beverley Folk Festival.
Now a not-for-profit organisation, the festival reinvests all profits into improving the event and supporting local causes. Community has always been central to its ethos, with initiatives like the annual Buskathon raising funds for charities including East Riding Food Bank.
The festival features a mix of ticketed and free performances, open sessions, workshops and dance events — including Morris, Rapper and Clog dancing. All venues are within walking distance of each other, making the entire weekend easy to navigate and enjoy.
Whether you’re a lifelong folk fan or just looking to experience something new, Beverley Folk Festival offers a warm welcome and a weekend full of live music, creativity and community spirit.
