Cottingham History Society Hosts Final Talk of the Season on Hull’s Theatre Heritage

COTTINGHAM – The Cottingham Local History Society is wrapping up its season with a fascinating talk on Hull’s theatrical past. On Wednesday, 5th March, local historian Michelle Beadle will take the audience on a journey through the history of Hull’s Repertory Company and the early years of the New Theatre. The talk will be held at Cottingham Civic Hall, starting at 7:45 pm and running until around 9:00 pm.

This final lecture of the season is open to all, with entry priced at £2 for Society members and £4 for non-members. The Society’s April gathering is reserved for members only, as it will be a social event and AGM.

Founded to preserve and share local history, the Cottingham Local History Society has a strong reputation for engaging talks, insightful research, and a welcoming community. Each season, it brings together history enthusiasts and curious locals to explore different aspects of the region’s past.
