BEVERLEY – A new restaurant has opened in one of Beverley town centre’s better-known hospitality sites, with Zarley’s Wine Bar & Grill now trading from the former Lucias premises on North Bar Within.
For owner Eyyup Demir, the opening is also a return to familiar ground. He first worked in the same building in 2010, when Lucias was operating from the site, starting as a waiter before later becoming manager. He stayed there for five years before going on to open Central 42 in Beverley in 2016.
Now, nearly a decade later, he has returned to the North Bar Within address to launch a new venture of his own.
Zarley’s Wine Bar & Grill has opened at 5 North Bar Within and will serve a menu including steaks, seafood, pizzas and pasta, alongside wines, cocktails and other drinks. The venue is aimed at both diners and those calling in for drinks, with lunchtime and evening trade.
The restaurant has also introduced a weekday lunch offer, available Monday to Friday until 4.30pm. Customers can choose any two dishes from a selection including salads, pasta, pizza, sandwiches and wraps for £26.95.
The new restaurant’s name is also a family reference, combining the names of Demir’s two daughters, Zara and Leyla.
The site has now reopened under its new identity, adding another independent restaurant to Beverley’s town centre food and drink scene.
