HULL – A well-loved name is making a comeback in Hull’s nightlife scene as the city’s Atik nightclub reverts to its former identity—Waterfront. The venue, located on Princes Dock Street, has been taken over by a local company and given a nostalgic rebrand, aiming to recapture the energy of its 1980s and 1990s heyday.
The revamped club promises a mix of classic and modern clubbing experiences, with every floor offering a different music genre. Recent refurbishments have introduced arcade machines and a vibrant light-up dance floor, bringing a fresh look to the iconic space.
Speaking to Hull Live, a club spokesperson said: “We’ve reverted back to the name that most know and love, ‘Waterfront,’ for the building, as many refer back to the name in its glory days.”
The main floor has been upgraded with an advanced sound system, video wall, and high-spec lighting. Meanwhile, the “boujee floor” offers VIP booths and a soundtrack of the hottest R&B and urban tracks.
A new addition to the venue is Loft, a top-floor space with a separate entrance next to Steinbeck & Shaw. Loft will host a variety of themed events, including the popular Polish night Disco Polo, Afrobeats parties, and Scream Hull.
With its fresh look and a nod to the past, the return of Waterfront is set to bring a renewed buzz to Hull’s nightlife, combining nostalgia with an electrifying clubbing experience.
