New Partnership to Boost Hull & East Riding Tourism

Visit Hull and East Yorkshire have achieved an outstanding accolade, becoming one of the first nationally accredited Local Visitor Economy Partnerships (LVEP) by VisitEngland. The introduction of LVEPs is part of a comprehensive plan to boost English tourism and provide a more effective model for supporting regional tourism.

LVEPs will provide strong local leadership and governance in their destinations, transforming the visitor economy landscape. The scheme will enable businesses working with Visit Hull and East Yorkshire to increase tourism across the area. As an accredited LVEP, the team will have access to expert advice, toolkits and training programmes from VisitEngland on everything from distribution and accessibility to sustainability and marketing.

Alan Menzies, executive director of planning and economic regeneration, said: “We’re so proud of the Visit Hull and East Yorkshire team for achieving LVEP accreditation, especially being one of the first in the country to do so.
Being a part of LVEPs will enable Visit Hull and East Yorkshire to capitalise on the full range of benefits offered by the scheme. This includes providing a significant impetus towards achieving their goals of expanding the tourism experience in Hull and East Yorkshire, and drawing more visitors to discover and appreciate their delightful corner of Yorkshire.

Achieving LVEP accreditation has been a well-deserved accolade, further supporting the brilliant work Visit Hull and East Yorkshire do and continuing to put the culturally rich area on the map. This recognition will enable the team to reach out to more potential visitors, which is a great boost following a very challenging few years for the visitor economy.
