New indoor golf and entertainment venue to open at Flemingate

BEVERLEY – Golfers in Beverley will soon be able to play some of the world’s most famous courses without leaving the town centre, as a new indoor golf and entertainment venue prepares to open at Flemingate.

FORE!, a new family run business from professional golfer Sam Robinson and his wife Natalie, is transforming a two storey unit at the retail and leisure destination into a year round golf and social venue.

The new attraction will feature four state of the art golf simulator bays, allowing players to practise, compete and virtually play more than 500 courses from around the world. A premium VIP suite will also be available for parties, celebrations and corporate events.

While experienced golfers will be able to analyse every shot and work on their game, the venue is also designed with beginners firmly in mind. Interactive games and challenges will allow visitors of all ages and abilities to get involved, even if they’ve never swung a golf club before.

Adding to the entertainment, the first floor will include a nine hole crazy golf course, although its theme is being kept secret until closer to the opening. A bar and relaxed seating area will also create a social space where visitors can meet friends, enjoy a drink and watch the action.

FORE! is expected to open seven days a week, initially from midday until 10pm.

DRIVING FORWARD: Sam and Natalie Robinson are driving forward their plans for FORE!, an exciting new venue combining cutting-edge golf technology, entertainment and a social environment, at Beverley’s Flemingate centre.

Sam has been a professional golfer since 2006, competing across the UK and internationally on the European Challenge Tour. Alongside the entertainment offering, he plans to provide a limited number of coaching sessions, with additional coaching for ladies and juniors delivered by other qualified coaches.

He said: “We’re really looking forward to opening our new venture at Flemingate. FORE! will bring something completely different to Beverley, giving people the chance to try something new and exciting, even if they’ve never picked up a club before.

“We want FORE! to be more than somewhere to play golf. We want it to become a real social hub for the community, a place where people can catch up with friends, enjoy a drink and have fun.”

The arrival of FORE! continues Flemingate’s growth as one of Beverley’s leading leisure destinations, adding another independent attraction alongside its mix of shops, restaurants, cafés, cinema and entertainment venues.

Jason Platten, Head of Retail and Leisure at Wykeland, said the business would bring something fresh to the town.

He said: “FORE! complements Flemingate’s existing retail and leisure offer perfectly.

“As an innovative, independent venture, it will bring something new and distinctive to Beverley, attracting a broad range of visitors and adding another reason for people to spend time at Flemingate.”

Work is now underway to fit out the new venue, with the official opening date and the mystery theme of the crazy golf course expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
