Woodmansey Parish Councillor Steps Down Ahead of University
WOODMANSEY – Woodmansey Parish Council has paid tribute to Councillor Harry Bulmer after he stepped down from the authority ahead of starting university in September.
Councillor Bulmer has served on the parish council for several years, spending much of that time as Deputy Chair. Fellow councillors thanked him for his contribution to the parish and wished him every success with his studies at York St John University.
Chair of the Parish Council, Councillor Kerri Harold, said Councillor Bulmer had made a significant contribution to the council’s work and had demonstrated the positive role young people can play in local democracy.
“It has been a pleasure serving alongside Harry, particularly in his role as Vice Chair of the Parish Council, where his support has been invaluable.
“Harry has shown the positive impact young people can have within democracy. As a parish councillor he has volunteered his time and played a pivotal role in delivering community events across the parish. He has also represented Woodmansey Parish Council by laying a wreath at the Remembrance service in honour of our fallen, veterans and serving personnel.
“We will miss his passion and drive, but wish him well as he embarks on his future studies at York St John University.”
Councillor Bulmer’s departure leaves a vacancy on the parish council as he prepares to begin the next chapter of his education.
